Born in the Mississippi Delta, I would hear the stories of my grandparent's fight for justice and equality; this planted a seed for me to be a public servant.

My journey began as a realtor in the community, where I witnessed the positive impact that dedicated public service can have on a community.

As a former elected official in Elgin, I created jobs for the residents.

I volunteered my time at the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, Community Crisis Center, and LULAC, recruited Precinct Committeemen for the Democratic Party, was the first person to take Michelle Obama out to campaign for US Senator Barack Obama, along with the late Judge Renee Robinson from Aurora. I took Raja and other candidates to churches to speak when they ran for office. Bernie Sanders delegate in 2016, and I set appointments for Democrat candidates to speak at churches when they ran for office.

As a resident of Kane County, I am committed to serving our community with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

With over 30 years of experience as a realtor, I understand the importance of hard work, dedication, and delivering results.

My time as an elected official in Elgin has taught me the importance of listening to the needs of our community and working together to find innovative solutions. As the Kane County Recorder, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our records are accurate and continue to give excellent customer service.

I will use my experience and expertise to modernize our office. I am committed to implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with the latest technology to ensure our office is efficient and effective.
